Many creative persons are creative in multiple aspects of their life.   The creative spirit is a driving force in my life, and though I am a classicist in taste I am a creator by trade.   In my life I’ve had the good fortune of starting two successful companies (Cinesamples and Hollywood Scoring).     

Cinesamples started small, with a single “niche” idea and $350. From there it grew into a standard name in the sampling industry.  Cinesamples products are in use by the majority of professional film composers. 

Hollywood Scoring also started with a simple marketable strategy. My idea was the “reverse Prague.” For years Los Angeles scoring productions had been leaving the states in order to take advantage of more favorable recording situations in Europe.  Because of the difficulties with the American Federation of Musicians (of which I am proudly an active member) venues in London, Budapest and Prague became more attractive to producers.   The idea of Hollywood Scoring was a reverse on this take, instead of productions leaving let’s have foreign productions come here.  

HWS is a full service music department, from composition to finished delivery and everything in between.  We also put on live events in any country, which often attract millions of viewers.
